Six String Walk

Got my Six-String Walk
Taking denim for a ride
Can’t talk the talk
With the Devil inside

Shake the hand of God
with a twist of Fate
Take the first step out
I got my Six-String Walk

The hard wear store is way across town
Gotta find my way there so I can get around
Gunna build big a house or tear it all down
Hope to find out in my lost and found

Then I sat up when I was feeling down
Thinking I can turn this thing around
In my head I heard this song
And put my new boots on

Got my Six-String Walk
Taking denim for a ride
Can’t talk the talk
With the Devil inside

Shake the hand of God
with a twist of Fate
Take the first step out
I got my Six-String Walk

Biding my time avoiding the swill
Pushing up the barrel forever up the hill
I used to ride alongĀ  with my last dollar bill
Till I got me a collar on my shirt and still

I beckon the heckin and reckin I will
Have a better day now I know the drill
Then I heard the words in my head to this song
And everyone sang along

Got my Six-String Walk
Taking denim for a ride
Can’t talk the talk
With the Devil inside

Shake the hand of God
with a twist of Fate
Take the first step out
I got my Six-String Walk

You don’t get there without a fight
You’re feeling week every day and night
Then you pray for Saturday
Just to make it go away

Sitting down again to write this song
Makes you realize it’s taking way too long
Gotta give it what you got
take the one step back and give it up

Got my Six-String Walk
Taking denim for a ride
Can’t talk the talk
With the Devil inside

Shake the hand of God
with a twist of Fate
Take the first step out
I got my Six-String Walk
